And, so our story begins… Stephen and I started our company with a simple ethos: handmade iron beds built to last a lifetime, just like those I remembered and had always hoped to share. Unfortunately, when I searched for something like those beds, handmade here in the UK, what arrived was upsettingly far away from what I imagined, and I was highly disappointed. I wanted to pass on those happy memories to my children with the same quality craftsmanship that’s built to last a lifetime. For me, it’s a childhood memory of the great iron beds at my grandparent’s, with mattresses that seemed as tall as Everest.
